Drake's Next Chapter : High School Football

Drake decides to go out for Football at Long Beach Wilson High School.He seems to be Very excited to find out where he's going to placed. I told him not to worry about it. What kid at 14 years of age listens to his farther at that age?!I just told him just go out and do your best. You know what it takes to compete so just go out and do it. I'll keep you guys updated.

All Star Game 2011

I'm trying to get you all updated.The Jr.Jackrabbits made it to the playoff, but lost the first round to the South-bay Packers. It was a hard hitting game and still wasn't enough to beat the Packers. Right after the game we were told to get ready for the all-Star game. A few of our Core players on the Jr. Jackrabbits were asked to play on the team. Players from the Generals,Packers ,South Gate and The Jackrabbits teamed up to play against an other all-star team made up of The Chargers and a few Ravens.Not really much of a all-star team. The all-star rules state that each player must play one quarter. Our squad had many players from other team so it made it a little difficult. The other team hand it easy because the team consisted of the Chargers and 2 or more Ravens on the squad. Which mad it very easy to play everyone one quarter. The officials of the OCJAAF need to change that rule and make it a little fair.It was a very exciting game. a lot of hard hitting action. Our Offense struggled a bit, but when the four quarter came around everything came together as planned. We had our Big starters in and let me tell you if we played these kids the whole game we would have won.Congratulations to all the all-stars that I had the pleasure to coach. It was a great experience for me to be asked to coach the All- Star offensive line. There were a lot of great kids and I'm sure I'll see some of their name in the sports section of the newspaper one of these days.

Long Beach Jr. jackrabbits vs Irvine Chargers

Finally, we face the Irvine Chargers for the 2nd time this Season. Looking forward to get a 2nd chance to play these guys and show everybody that we are a good football team.On the first drive we marched to the red zone and we couldn't score. It seemed like we just decided to forget what we were here to do? Giving it our all to get back on track but that wasn't enough. we just didn't play our game.The final score 42-0 in favor of the Irvine Chargers. When we shook their hands at the 50 yard line and they all said see you in the Super Bowl. They Knew we would meet up again.

The Boys are all back ,lets play some football.

The Boys are all back to play some Football. With Drake coming back from a Knee injuring, Malcolm and Vincent back from a family outing we finally have a full roster of 15.Next up is the injured Ridden South Gate Rams. We were hoping that they had a full roster this time around.By Half time it was 14 - 0 and we werent done yet. Some adjustments were made after half time and the score ended up 46- 0 in favor of the jackrabbits.

Updating the Blog

Since the last time I checked in you all Drake was injured during practice October 6 and wasn't able to play that weeks game against South bay Packers. Even with 2 teamates missing and Drake out with a Knee injury The JackRabbits won 24-14 and a overall record of 3-1-1.
